Mixed Doubles Tennis at IDCC

The Tennis Committee met recently and the participants agreed that our Club needs to have more mixed doubles play at all levels. To encourage this we're planning several doubles "mixers" over the next few months which will be announced in a few weeks to all members. In addition, we plan to have a new time slot for Open Mixed Doubles Round Robin every Thursday from 10 to 12 starting next week, December 11th. I'll post a sign-up sheet each week for any member to play at any level. If you sign-up by Tuesday you'll be paired with others that have signed up to play in round-robin format and we'll try to mix the pairings up as much as possible. The emphasis here is more on social play rather than competitiveness. Two courts will be blocked out each Thursday in the reservation system for this group activity, with more available if needed. We're doing this on a trial basis for now and, depending on interest and activity level, will continue in the future, possibly on different days or times. Everyone is invited to come out and have fun playing with other Club members and have a good time.
